This year, our Durango Gather 2008 coincides with the Durango Cowboy Gathering. We have decided to work together to provide all of you with the best variety of activities for your individual preferences. No matter what you choose to do, you’ll be in for a GREAT time. However, if you are unable to send your auction items in advance, please take them to the registration desk at the Best Western Durango Inn & Suites when you pick up your name tag. The items will be secured in a locked area. We will NOT accept auction items for donation after noon on Friday, October 3rd.

You can check out the items up for auction Friday evening, before dinner. Register for your bid card, and note the assigned number of the items you want to bid on. Bring your money and credit cards (we take MC, VISA & AMEX). Get ready to spend MONEY$$$. This is our only fund raiser for the book gifting program. Your generosity is appreciated.

HERE’S A WRAP UP OF EXPENSES

Banquet: The cost of the banquet and auction, with entertainment, is $50 per person. The deadline for reservations is September 24th. Click on the link for your reservation form and more information. Registration Form

Train Ride: The Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge Express Train ride is $75 per person through Gateway Reservations. Call 1-800-828-4228. The ride is awesome! Upon arriving in Silverton, there will be time for you to shop, do some sight-seeing and eat lunch in Silverton. We’ll return to Durango about 5 PM. This is a great trip everyone. Make sure to bring your cameras . The canyon and scenery is spectacular.

Durango Cowboy Gathering: There are reservations that are required for some of the activities hosted by the Durango Cowboy Gathering so you might want to take care of that in advance as well. For more information check out their website: www.durangocowboygathering.org.

Lodging: Your choice of the three locations where we have reserved rooms discounted through Gateway Reservations only: 1) Best Western Durango Inn & Suites $112.00 2) Best Western Durango Mountain Shadows $119.00 3) The Strater Hotel $135.00 The deadline for lodging reservations at the discounted price is September 1st. Do not made your reservations directly with the hotels unless you are going to stay somewhere other than the three locations referenced above. Be sure to tell them you are with the group.

This is going to be a lot of fun, and if you’ve never been to Durango, Colorado, especially in October,
you’re in for a treat.
